Choosing seats? In the usual layout, the middle of the Stalls, a few rows back, has the best view of the Main Stage. The raised Stalls Arcade behind it is the value pick, and the front of the Dress Circle looks down over the whole stage. Think twice about the back row of the Dress Circle, which is high stools with a restricted view. The layout changes from one production to the next, so check the plan for your show.

Already booked? Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before, no later. Once you leave the auditorium during the show, you can't go back in, and on some shows latecomers aren't let in at all. Under-15s need to come with an adult.

The two levels of the Main Stage each have a page, the Stalls and the Dress Circle, and both are on the seating plan with Hampstead Downstairs. Then there's how to get here, access and the Café Bar, restaurants, bars and hotels nearby and more about Hampstead Theatre.
