Dominion Theatre, London
The Dominion Theatre is on the corner of Tottenham Court Road and New Oxford Street, and it's the home of The Devil Wears Prada, booking to 25 September 2027. It has 2,067 seats over two levels, which puts it among the largest theatres in the West End, and Tottenham Court Road station is right outside the door.
It's a big theatre, but a well-designed one. It was built to show films as well as musicals, so almost every seat sees the whole stage. What changes as you go back is the distance: the Stalls run to thirty rows and the Circle to sixteen, so the real choice when you book is how far back you're happy to sit.
Our short answer on seats: centre Stalls, rows G to P first, the front of the Circle second, and the back of the Stalls ahead of the back of the Circle every time.
Each level has its own page, the Stalls and the Circle, with both side by side on the seating plan, and a page on whether the Boxes are worth it. After those come how to get here, access, bars and the cloakroom, restaurants, bars and hotels nearby and more about the theatre.

What's On at the Dominion Theatre
The Devil Wears Prada plays here, booking to 25 September 2027. It runs Monday to Saturday at 7:30pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2:30pm, eight performances a week.
Tickets start from around £25 midweek, and most seats are around £65 to £100, with all-in pricing.
It's 2 hours 30 minutes including a 20-minute interval, so an evening performance is out at around 10pm and a matinee finishes about 5pm.
Recommended for ages 8 and over, and under-5s cannot be admitted to the theatre at all. The show uses flashing lights and strobes and loud sound effects, and has some strong language.
There is no Sunday performance. The theatre uses most Sundays for one-off concerts and events, which appear alongside everything else on sale here.
Dominion Theatre FAQs
Can I take food and drink into the Dominion Theatre?
Soft drinks come in, in a plastic bottle or a carton, and that includes a bottle of water, so on a warm night bring one in rather than queue at the interval. Outside alcohol does not. Neither does outside food, and the theatre asks you to finish or bin it before you reach the foyer rather than carry it in, so do not plan on eating a takeaway in your seat. Cold snacks and sweets are the exception and are welcome, though they ask you to take them out of noisy packaging first. The bars open 45 minutes before the performance.
Is there a dress code at the Dominion Theatre?
No, so wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Jeans and trainers are fine.
How many seats does the Dominion Theatre have?
2,067, which makes it one of the largest theatres in the West End. That is 1,305 in the Stalls, 752 in the Circle and ten across the two Boxes. All of it sits on two levels, with no Upper Circle, Grand Circle or Balcony above, which is why the Stalls run to thirty rows.
Can I take a bag in?
There is no published size limit, but the theatre discourages large backpacks and suitcases and there is nowhere by the door to leave one. Expect your bag to be searched on the way in, and sometimes a handheld body scan as well. The cloakroom is on the Circle level at £2 an item.
Can I buy tickets at the Box Office on the day?
Yes. The Box Office runs Monday to Saturday, midday to 7:45pm. In the 45 minutes before a performance it sells only for that performance, then goes back to later dates five minutes after curtain up. Book with us instead and it is all-in pricing, so the price you see is what you pay.
Is the Dominion Theatre air conditioned?
No, and the building's age and listed status are the reason. What it has instead is an air cooling system. We have sat through a hot evening in there without it being a problem, but take a light layer rather than a coat you then have to hold.
What time do the doors open, and how early should I arrive?
The doors go 45 minutes ahead of curtain up and the bars open with them. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the start, no later. They get a full audience in quickly here, but there is a bag check and 2,067 people to seat, so anything later is cutting it fine.
What happens if I am late?
You'll be held and shown in at a suitable break in the performance, which may not be until the interval.
Can children go to the Dominion Theatre?
Under-fives are not admitted at all, whatever is playing. Children aged 15 and under need to be with an adult, and a school or party group needs one adult for every ten children. Booster seats cost £1, first come first served, and Circle row A does not get them for safety reasons.
Can I book by phone?
Yes. Call us on 020 7193 9050 and we'll tell you what's free on your date and which seats are the better buy for your budget. The price we tell you on the phone is the price you pay.
