What It Is

The show's own title is It's A Beautiful Noise; the Dominion bills it descriptively. Either way it is Fisher Stevens and a full live band working through five decades of Neil Diamond, starting in 1960s New York.

Neil Diamond retired from touring in 2018 after a Parkinson's diagnosis. He sold over 130 million records. For anyone who wants to hear this material played live by a full band, this is now the realistic way to do it.

What Tickets Cost

£25, £30, £40 and £50. All-in pricing, the price you see is what you pay.

Who It Is For

  • Anyone who never got to see him and has stopped expecting to.
  • People who want a band rather than a backing track. There is a full live line-up with drums, keyboards and a brass section.
  • Anyone who wants Sweet Caroline sung properly in a 2,000-seat room.
  • Not for you if you want the jukebox musical. This is not A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, which is a different production entirely.

Know Before You Book

The running time has not been published for this date, and the producer lists the Dominion night as the Orchestral Edition, the version with the live orchestra that the 2025 tour introduced.

Where to Sit

The one-night events use the same seating as the resident musical.

The Stalls hold 1,305 and are ten steps down from the foyer. The Circle holds 752 and is 32 steps up with no lift.

For a band show in a room this size, the centre of the Stalls is where the sound is best balanced. The front of the Circle is the value alternative and sees the whole stage.

Our Dominion Theatre guide has both levels.

Who Is In It

Fisher Stevens, from Northamptonshire. He came to it through a Stars in Their Eyes style contest in 2001, which he won, and has since performed in Memphis during Elvis Week, in the Caribbean, and on a twelve-week tour of China.

Over ten years and more than 750 performances, including a previous run at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.

A full live band, with drums, keyboards and a brass section, and backing vocalists.

About This Event

BroadwayWorld gave it five stars in 2019 and wrote that "you'd struggle to get more bang for your buck in the West End". Breaking the Fourth Wall and Love London Love Culture both gave it four.

One reviewer made the point that matters: "To call this a tribute show actually does the production a disservice. There is a full live band onstage complete with drums, keyboards and brass section. The lighting, staging and overall production values are ace."

All six of the Dominion's one-night events fall on a Sunday, the day the resident musical does not play. Our Dominion Theatre guide lists what else is on.
