What It Is

Vanessa Williams, singing her own catalogue, in the theatre she has just spent two years working in.

She played Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada at the Dominion from its opening in December 2024 until 19 September 2026.

Five months after her last performance in the role, she is back on the same stage under her own name. The musical is still running here the rest of that week, with somebody else playing Miranda.

What Tickets Cost

£45, £55, £65 and £75. Four prices, and the £45 seats are the cheapest way into this one.

All-in pricing, the price you see is what you pay.

Who It Is For

  • Anyone who saw her as Miranda and wants to hear her sing without the wig and the coat.
  • People who know the records. "Save the Best for Last" went to number one in the States and was nominated for the Grammy for Record of the Year.
  • Anyone who knows "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
  • Television audiences who know her as Wilhelmina Slater in Ugly Betty, or from Desperate Housewives.
  • Not for you if you want the musical. This is a concert, and Miranda is not in it.

Know Before You Book

The setlist has not been published, and neither has the running time or whether there is a support act. Nothing has been said about whether any Devil Wears Prada material features, which is the obvious question and currently has no answer.

Practical

Dominion Theatre, 268-269 Tottenham Court Road, W1T 7AQ. The theatre sits directly above Tottenham Court Road station, so the walk from the barriers is about as short as London gets.

The Stalls are ten steps down from the foyer. There is no lift to the Circle.

Where to Sit

The one-night events use exactly the same seating as the resident musical, so the plan does not change.

The Stalls hold 1,305 and are ten steps down from the foyer. The Circle holds 752 and is 32 steps up, with no lift, so if stairs are a question the Stalls are the answer.

For a concert, the centre of the Stalls is the pick. This is a singer and a band rather than a staged production, so you are listening as much as looking, and the middle of the room is where that works best.

Who Is In It

Vanessa Williams. Recording artist, and star of Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and Shaft on screen.

On stage she has played the Witch in Into the Woods, Aurora in Kiss of the Spider Woman, Julie La Verne in Show Boat, and Miranda Priestly here at the Dominion, for which she was nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award.

About This Event

The Devil Wears Prada divided the critics. Vanessa Williams did not. The Guardian called her singing "powerhouse". The Standard called her "a star turn". Time Out called her "terrific in the role". The Times wrote that she "can turn on the hauteur" and added, in the same sentence, that "she's an accomplished singer too".

That last line was written about her at this theatre, and it is more or less what this concert is.

All six of the Dominion's one-night events fall on a Sunday. Our Dominion Theatre guide lists what else is on.
