The Choir seats are behind the stage, in front of the organ, facing the rest of the Hall, in two sides, Choir East and Choir West. For some events a real choir sits in them; for others they're sold to the audience, usually for less than seats the same distance from the stage.
For a concert
Good for an orchestra. You look down at the players from behind, you can see the conductor's face, and the sound is close and full. Rows 1 to 3 are better than rows 4 to 9.
A poor buy for a singer or a band. They'll face the other way most of the night. For a gig or a solo artist, a seat in the Stalls is worth the extra.
In the round, the Choir becomes one more side of the audience. Check whether the band or part of the set sits in front of it for that show.
Legroom
Just about enough for most people up to about 5ft 7. Booster cushions aren't allowed in the Choir.
Choir FAQs
Are Choir seats at the Royal Albert Hall any good?
For an orchestra, yes, and they're some of the best value in the Hall. For a singer or a band, no.
