Apollo Victoria Theatre, London

2,328 seats over two levels at 17 Wilton Road, directly across the road from Victoria station, and home to Wicked The Musical. This page has where to sit on each level, what tickets cost, how to get here, and where to eat, drink and stay nearby.

Still choosing seats? This is one of the biggest theatres in the West End, and from the back of either level you're a long way from the stage, so where you sit matters. Stalls row Q is the seat we recommend above any other, because there's no row in front of it. The front block of the Dress Circle is the alternative, and the back of the Stalls is the value, as long as you don't mind missing a bit of the flying. Prices start from around £25, and midweek costs less than a weekend.

Already booked? Arrive 25 to 30 minutes before, no later. The Stalls are 33 steps below the foyer and there's no lift to them, so allow time on the way in. If you need step-free access, the way in is Vauxhall Bridge Road, not the main Wilton Road entrance. There's no cloakroom, so bring only what fits under your seat. An evening performance of Wicked has you out around 10:15pm.

Below: the seating plan, a page each for the Stalls and the Dress Circle, how to get here, access and facilities, restaurants, bars and hotels nearby, and more about the building.

What's On at the Apollo Victoria Theatre

Wicked is booking here until Sunday 30 May 2027. It opened on 27 September 2006 and has played here ever since, which makes it one of the longest-running shows in West End history. Twenty years in one building, which Wicked reached in September 2026, puts it among a handful of West End shows, with Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats and The Lion King.

That's a booking-until date, not a closing date. The calendar gets extended as the run goes on, so 30 May 2027 tells you how far you can book today and nothing about when the show ends.

Wicked runs 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. Evening performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7:30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:30pm, and there's no performance on Mondays.

Wicked ticket prices

Our tickets run from around £25 up to around £150, and up to around £250 for the best seats at a weekend. Midweek costs less than a weekend at every level of the theatre, so a midweek performance is where the money goes furthest.

Three to five times a year we run exclusive prices on Wicked, which have put seats at £20 and £25, and good seats at up to £65. They're not every week, so they're worth catching when they come round.

All-in pricing, the price you see is what you pay. Tell us your budget and we'll tell you which block it actually reaches, which in a theatre this size is worth asking before you book rather than after.

Apollo Victoria Theatre FAQs

How many seats does the Apollo Victoria Theatre have?

2,328, over two levels: 1,298 in the Stalls and 1,030 in the Dress Circle. There's no Upper Circle, Balcony or Boxes.

Is this the same as the Apollo Theatre?

No, though both are in the West End and both are on our site. The Apollo Theatre is on Shaftesbury Avenue, and it's under half the size. This is the Apollo Victoria, on Wilton Road opposite Victoria station. If your ticket says Wilton Road, you want this one.

Can I take a bag in, and is there a cloakroom?

There's no cloakroom here at all. Whatever you bring has to fit under your seat, coats included, and suitcases, rucksacks and large bags aren't allowed in, because the aisles must stay clear. Bags may be checked on the way in, so leave a little longer than you think you need. If you're arriving with luggage, Victoria station has a left luggage office beside Platform 8.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, if it's cold and in a plastic container. Hot food can't come in. Drinks bought at the theatre's bars can go into the auditorium with you.

Is there a dress code, and can I wear jeans or trainers?

No dress code, and yes to both. Wear what you'll be comfortable in for nearly three hours.

Can I pay with cash?

No. The theatre is cashless, and takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay at the bars and merchandise stands.

Can I bring children?

Yes, and Wicked is recommended for 7 and over. Under-5s aren't admitted, everyone needs a ticket whatever their age, and anyone under 16 must sit next to an adult of 18 or over. Booster cushions are available, so ask a member of staff for one when you're shown to your seat.

What time does Wicked finish?

An evening performance starts at 7:30pm and finishes around 10:15pm. A Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday matinee starts at 2:30pm and finishes around 5:15pm.

Can I book by phone?

Yes. Call us on 020 7193 9050 and we'll find you the right seat for your date and budget. The price we tell you on the phone is the price you pay.
