Restaurants, Bars and Hotels Near the Apollo Victoria Theatre
Now playing: Wicked From £30 Book tickets
The restaurants and places to eat near the Apollo Victoria Theatre are mostly in Nova, the development on the other side of Victoria station, two or three minutes from the door, and the old pubs and hotels round the station are only a little further. Everything below is within about seven minutes.
Restaurants
Bone Daddies (2 minutes). 9 Sir Simon Milton Square, Nova. Ramen over two floors, and you don't need to book, so it's the one to walk into when you've left it late. There's a bar in the middle if you're waiting for the rest of your party.
Rail House Café (2 minutes). 8 Sir Simon Milton Square, Nova. Open all day, so it works for lunch before a matinee as well as dinner before an evening show, and there's a terrace when the weather's good.
Wagamama (3 minutes). 5 Cardinal Walk, Cardinal Place. Noodles and rice bowls, open all day until 10pm, and an easy one to feed children at before a 7:30pm curtain.
Bars and pubs
The Phoenix (4 minutes). 14 Palace Street. The roof terrace makes it the one for a drink before the show on a dry evening.
The Bag O'Nails (4 minutes). 6 Buckingham Palace Road. A traditional pub dating back to 1775, with a beer garden, and food served all day if you'd rather eat and drink in one place.
The Albert (7 minutes). 52 Victoria Street. A Victorian pub from 1862, towards Westminster, and the one to pick if you'd rather an old London pub than a station bar. It's the furthest of these, so allow the extra few minutes.
Hotels
The Clermont Victoria (2 minutes). 101 Buckingham Palace Road. Part of Victoria station itself, so if you're arriving by train with bags, you can check in and be across the road at the theatre in a few minutes.
The Z Hotel Victoria (3 minutes). 5 Lower Belgrave Street. The budget pick. The rooms are small, which leaves more of the money for better seats.
The Rubens at the Palace (4 minutes). 39 Buckingham Palace Road. The luxury option, facing the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, with its own restaurants and bar if you'd rather not go out again after the show.
Nearby FAQs
Is Victoria a good area to stay in?
It's properly central. Buckingham Palace is about 8 minutes on foot, and the station puts the tube, national rail and the Gatwick Express on your doorstep. It's an office and station district, so it's quieter late at night than Soho or Covent Garden.
