Stalls at the Lyric Hammersmith
3 shows on now · From £18 · See shows
The ground level of the auditorium and the biggest of the three, rows A to S. It's one wide block facing the stage, with an aisle down each side and none in the middle.
If you want the best seats
Rows G to J, in the middle. You're near enough to see the actors' faces and far enough back to take in the whole set, and the rows are staggered, so you look between the heads in front rather than at them.
If you want to be close
The front rows put you right up by the actors. The floor rises gently and the stage is fairly high, so from the very front you may lose the back of the stage floor.
If you want to save money
Further back is still good. The Circle starts to hang over the Stalls about two thirds of the way back, and even in the back rows it takes very little off the view. The end seats of each row, by the side aisles, are often cheaper and still face the stage.
Legroom
Ordinary for a theatre, and the best of the three levels. Most people will be comfortable anywhere in the Stalls.
Getting there, bars and toilets
You go up two floors from the street, by stairs or lift, to the bar, then up the stairs beside the bar to the Stalls. The lift makes the Stalls step-free, and the wheelchair and transfer seats are on this level. There are toilets on the Stalls level and in the bar.
Stalls FAQs
Does the Circle block the view from the back of the Stalls?
Hardly. It starts about two thirds of the way back, and the back rows still see the whole stage.
