Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, London
The Lyric is on Lyric Square, off King Street in Hammersmith, about two minutes' walk from Hammersmith tube and 20 minutes from central London. It's a small Victorian auditorium on three levels, inside a modern building, and it stages plays and new writing in runs of a few weeks, plus a family panto every Christmas.

Choosing seats? The middle of the Stalls, around rows G to J, is where we'd sit. For a view of the whole stage from above, take the front of the Circle. The Upper Circle is the cheapest level, with steep rows and tight legroom.
Already booked? Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before, no later. The auditorium is two floors up from the street, by stairs or lift, and the bar is up there too. There's no cloakroom, so leave big bags at home, and the bar and cafe take cards only.
Each level has its own page: the Stalls, the Circle and the Upper Circle, all three together on the seating plan. After those come how to get here, access, restaurants, pubs and hotels nearby and more about the Lyric.

Is the Lyric Hammersmith in the West End?
No, it's in Hammersmith, in West London. The tube from central London takes about 20 minutes, and you come out a couple of minutes from the door.
Can I bring children?
Yes, to shows whose age guidance allows them. Under-5s aren't admitted unless the show says so, and under-14s must sit with an adult. The panto is recommended for 6 and over, so if you're thinking of bringing a younger child, check with the Lyric before you book.

No. There's nowhere to leave bags, so bring as little as you can.
Can I pay with cash?
No. The bar, the cafe and the Box Office are all cashless, so bring a card or your phone.
Is there a dress code?
No. Come as you are.
