The Grand Tier is the level above the Stalls Circle, four rows deep, A to D, with Boxes along both sides. Its full name is the Donald Gordon Grand Tier, and it's one of the most expensive levels in the building.

Where we'd put you

Row A, in the centre. It's the other strong answer to "where are the best seats", alongside the centre of the Orchestra Stalls. You're above the stage rather than level with it, so you see the whole picture, the patterns the corps de ballet make and the full depth of the set. Rows B to D in the centre are the next best thing.

What to think twice about

The seats near the stage at either end, which curve round and see the stage side-on.

Getting to your seat, drinks and toilets

There are lifts to this level, and a few steps up or down to your row depending on the seat; see access. There are toilets on this floor, as on every floor, and the ticket-holder restaurants, the Crush Room and the Balconies Restaurant, are covered on Nearby.
