There are lifts to both levels and wheelchair spaces on each. Access bookings are handled by Sadler's Wells, not by us: book accessible seats and check the step-free route through Sadler's Wells' official site before you travel.
Getting in
The main entrance is on Portugal Street. There are four steps up from the doors to the Box Office foyer, with a stair lift beside them, and the door opens automatically.
There's also a permanent ramped entrance on Kingsway, with heavy push doors. The bell there is set high, so if you plan to use it, tell a member of staff when you arrive and they'll take you through. It leads along a corridor behind the Box Office to the Dress Circle wheelchair spaces.
Getting to your seat
A platform lift by the Box Office serves the foyer, the Dress Circle and the Stalls. In the Stalls, a second lift by the Stalls bar takes you past the steps up into the auditorium, and the step-free seats there are in row Y. In the Dress Circle, the step-free seats are in row J. Ask a member of staff when you arrive if you need the step-free route.
Without the lifts, the Stalls are two flights of stairs down and a few steps up, with a step between each row from X back. The Dress Circle is a flight down, a few steps up, and a step between each row.
Wheelchair spaces
There are three: one at the back of the Stalls in row Y, and two at the back of the Dress Circle in row J. Each has a companion seat next to it.
Accessible toilets
There are two, one in the Box Office foyer and one off the Stalls bar. They take a Radar key, which you can get from the Box Office.
Hearing support
Infrared headsets are available to borrow from the Box Office on request, with no deposit, and they work from any row.
Audio-described, relaxed and captioned performances
Each production sets its own. For The Snowman, there's a relaxed performance on Wednesday 2 December at 2:30pm, and an audio-described performance with a touch tour beforehand on Saturday 12 December at 2:30pm. No signed or captioned performances have been announced at the Peacock for this season.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in the auditorium.
Bars
There are two bars, one on each level, and both open an hour before the show:
- The Stalls bar, which is the busier of the two at the interval
- The Dress Circle bar, which is usually calmer
They serve wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks, plus sandwiches, snacks, ice cream, tea and coffee, and you can pre-order your interval drinks. The bars are moving towards cashless, so pay by card or phone.
Toilets
- Stalls: Ladies and Gents, plus an accessible toilet off the Stalls bar
- Dress Circle: Ladies and Gents
- Foyer: an accessible toilet
Bags, coats and children
The cloakroom takes coats and small items for £1 each, but not large bags, suitcases or backpacks, and bags are searched on the way in. There are only a few booster seats, so bring your own, or a cushion from home. A couple of folded coats work too.
