Two levels, the Stalls and the Circle, both stepped steeply and facing the stage straight on. Down each side, at both levels, there's a single row of side seats. It's a small theatre, so nobody is far from the stage, and there are no pillars. The Circle hangs over the back of the Stalls from about row K, but it doesn't cut into the view.

The Kiln sometimes changes the layout for a production, so the advice here is for the usual layout. Check the plan for your date.

Where to sit, front to back

  • Best seats: the middle of the Stalls, around rows F to J
  • Best for legroom: Stalls row K, which has a wide aisle in front of it
  • Best value: Circle rows C to E, with a clear view down to the stage
  • Think twice: Stalls rows A to C, which are flat on the floor; Stalls L to N and Circle A and B if you're tall; the side seats, which miss the corner of the stage nearest you

The Stalls and Circle pages go row by row, and access has the wheelchair spaces.

Seating Plan FAQs

Should I sit in the Stalls or the Circle at the Kiln Theatre?

The Stalls if you want to be close, from row F back. The Circle if you'd rather look down on the whole stage, from row C back, where the legroom is better than in its first two rows. The Circle is up stairs, with no lift.
