Access and Facilities at the Kiln Theatre
2 shows on now · From £18 · See shows
The Kiln was rebuilt in 2018 with step-free entrances and a step-free Stalls. The Circle is up stairs, with no lift.
Access bookings are handled by the Kiln, not by us. Book access seats directly with the theatre through its official site.
Getting in
Both entrances are step-free. The main one, on Kilburn High Road, has a gentle ramp, and the Buckley Road entrance is level. From either, there's level access to the Stalls, the bar, the Box Office and the toilets.
Wheelchair spaces
There are at least three at every performance, all in the Stalls and reached from either entrance. One, X1, is fixed and takes powerchairs. The other two, K1 and K14, are removable.
Access tickets
The Kiln sells access tickets at £15 for any seat at any performance, with a free ticket for a personal assistant. They're booked with the Kiln, after you set your access needs in your account on its site.
Getting here step-free
Kilburn station, on the Jubilee line, has a lift, and the walk down the High Road is step-free. Brondesbury has no lift. There are two Blue Badge bays outside the Buckley Road entrance and a disabled bay outside the Kilburn High Road entrance.
Toilets
All the toilets are wheelchair accessible, and two are adapted, opened with a RADAR key or by a member of staff.
Hearing and sight
Audio-described performances use an infrared system, with headsets from the Box Office. A free touch tour of the set comes before the show. On captioned performances, the best view of the screens is from the front row of the Circle, and the captions can't be seen from the first few rows of the Stalls. The Kiln doesn't list a hearing loop.
Access performances
Each production sets its own dates for captioned, audio-described and relaxed performances, and you'll find them on the show's page. The Kiln's site also has a visual story of a visit.
Assistance dogs
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome, with proof of service, and ushers can look after a dog during the show. Support animals aren't allowed in the building.
