Restaurants, Pubs and Hotels Near the Kiln Theatre

The restaurants near the Kiln Theatre are on Kilburn High Road and Willesden Lane, most within five minutes of the door, and there's a pub straight across the road. Hotels are thin on the ground in Kilburn: the closest is above that pub, and the bigger ones are 15 to 20 minutes' walk away in Maida Vale. Opening times change, so check before you set out.

Eat

  • Ariana II, two minutes along Kilburn High Road. Afghan cooking, and you can bring your own wine.
  • Quartieri, two minutes away on the other side of the High Road. Neapolitan pizza from a wood oven, quick enough for a meal before a 7:30pm start
  • Anjanaas, about five minutes round the corner on Willesden Lane. A family-run Keralan restaurant, the one to book if you want a proper sit-down dinner
  • The Kiln Bar itself sells wood-fired pizza before the show, if you'd rather not leave the building

Drink

  • The Black Lion, directly opposite. A big, old pub with a listed Victorian interior and cask beer, and the nearest drink to your seat
  • The Sir Colin Campbell, a few doors along from the Black Lion. A small independent Irish pub, for something quieter
  • The North London Tavern, about five minutes up the High Road towards Brondesbury station. A Victorian pub with a dining room at the back, handy on the way home by train

Stay

  • The Black Lion's guesthouse, opposite the theatre. Eleven rooms above the pub, so it's the closest bed to the Kiln by a long way. The rooms are up stairs, with no lift
  • Maitrise Hotel Maida Vale, about 15 minutes' walk down the High Road, or a few stops on the 16, 32 or 316 bus from outside the theatre
  • London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale, about 18 minutes' walk down the High Road. The big-brand option, and guests can use the pool at the leisure club next door
