Balcony at Charing Cross Theatre

Two narrow balconies, Balcony 1 and Balcony 2, run along the side walls, each with a single row of about ten chairs. They're above the Stalls aisles, so they look across at the stage from the side rather than at it from the front.

Where we'd put you

The seats nearest the stage, numbered 1 to 4. From there the angle is easiest, and you see most of the stage with the least leaning.

What to know before you book

The chairs are movable and the balconies are flat, with a low rail in front. To see the near side of the stage you lean forward over the rail, and when the person beside you leans too, they can block your view. Lighting equipment along the balcony fronts can get in the way as well. They're priced below the Stalls.

Step-free seats

Balcony 1 is level with the foyer, so there are no stairs to reach it, and it's where the wheelchair spaces are. The access page has the detail.

Bars and toilets

The Players Bar and the accessible toilet are on the foyer level too, so from Balcony 1 you reach both without any steps.
