Harold Pinter Theatre, London
The Harold Pinter is on Panton Street, a few minutes from Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. A small theatre, around 800 seats over four levels, regularly hosting star-led productions: limited seasons with a big name, mostly plays. The Cherry Orchard, with Kristin Scott Thomas, plays here from 3 October 2026 to 9 January 2027.
Being small, you're close to the stage from every level. You do have to watch out for the pillars. They're thin, but they run up through every level, so they do cause a fair bit of obstruction.
Still choosing seats? The best seats are in the middle of the Stalls, rows E to K, and at the front of the Dress Circle. For value, the front of the Royal Circle feels far lower than a top tier usually does. Avoid booking directly behind a pillar, and think twice about the Balcony if you don't like heights.
Already booked? The Royal Circle and Balcony have their own entrance at the side of the building. Order your interval drinks to your seat, and arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the start, no later.
Each level has its own page: the Stalls, the Dress Circle, the Royal Circle, the Balcony and the Boxes, with all four levels side by side on the seating plan. After those come how to get here, access and the bars, restaurants, bars and hotels nearby and more about the theatre.

Can I bring a bag or a suitcase?
Keep it small. Every bag is checked at the door, and large bags, rucksacks and suitcases are ones the theatre would rather you left at home. There is a cloakroom, but it's only for luggage, folded bikes and other bulky things, and it fills up. E-scooters aren't allowed in.
Is there a dress code?
No. Wear whatever you're comfortable in.
Is the Harold Pinter Theatre air conditioned?
Yes. The Balcony, at the top, can still feel warmer on a busy night.
