Boxes at the Harold Pinter Theatre

There are five: Boxes A to D at Dress Circle level, two on each side of the stage, with three or four seats each, and Box E at the Royal Circle, with two. They're rarely on sale.

What the view is like

As with any theatre, the Boxes are at the side, so you watch the stage at an angle and the rear corner of it is hidden. At the Harold Pinter they're not too bad. Most of what plays here is a play, and most of the action happens fairly centrally, so you see most of it. What you'll miss is anything played into the far corners.

Better buys for the money

For a similar spend you'd see the whole stage head-on from the middle of Stalls rows E to K, or from the front of the Dress Circle. If you're watching the budget, the front of the Royal Circle gives you a straight view for less.

When a Box suits you

The chairs are movable, so there's more room to stretch than in the circles, and you get a little space to yourselves. For a small group or an occasion, and a play that keeps to the middle of the stage, a Box does that well.

Boxes FAQs

Are the Boxes worth it at the Harold Pinter Theatre?

For the view, a central seat is better. For space, movable chairs and a bit of privacy, a Box is fine here, because most shows are plays staged fairly centrally.

How many seats are in the Boxes?

Boxes A and B have three seats each, Boxes C and D four each, and Box E two.
