Capital Theatre Seating Plan

On the seating plan the theatre published when tickets first went on sale, the stage is a large oval in the middle of the auditorium and the seats wrap around it on three sides, with a walkway running out from one side into the audience. There is no stage at one end and no Circle above you: around 620 people all look in at the same stage from different angles.

When it opens, the question will be which part of the stage your seat faces. In a West End theatre the plan reads front to back and the question is how far away you are. Here the seats at the sides look across the action rather than at it, and the deepest section is one long curved block down one side.

The plan shows the auditorium as designed, so look at it again when tickets go on sale.

The plan also shows a handful of separate seat clusters right at the stage edge, top and bottom, detached from every block. The theatre has not said what they are.

What we cannot tell you yet

This theatre has not opened, so nobody has sat in any of these seats. There are no seat photographs of this auditorium anywhere, no view-from-my-seat pictures, and no reader reviews, because there is nothing yet to review.

Seating Plan FAQs

What are the best seats at the Capital Theatre?

Nobody can say yet. The seats surround the stage on three sides, so the ones towards the middle of the plan look straight at the action and the ones at the sides look across it.

Can I see the view from my seat at the Capital Theatre?

Not yet. No photographs of the view from any seat in this theatre exist.

Does the Capital Theatre have Boxes?

Not as far as anyone knows. The published plan shows four small clusters of seats at the stage edge, separate from the main blocks, but the theatre has not said what they are or how they will be sold.
