Grand Circle at the Apollo Theatre

143 seats, rows A to F, 41 steps up from street level. The third level, priced below the Dress Circle.

Where to sit

Row B, seats 15 to 18, is the pick of this level, and it beats the front row. Row A is often reduced in price and sees the action perfectly well from up here, but the lighting equipment gets in the way of some of it. One row further back clears that and costs little more.

The level is very regular, which helps. A single central aisle at 13/14 runs the full depth, so it is two blocks throughout and the seat numbering behaves predictably from row to row.

What to avoid

The four seats at either end of rows A to E. The safety barrier in row A can get in the way, and the outer seats on this level are working at an angle.

Row F is a short 14-seat row, seats 7 to 20, at the back of the level.

Where this level sits on price

The Grand Circle prices below the Dress Circle and still sees the whole stage, so it is the value pick upstairs if 41 steps are fine for you.

Getting to your seat

41 steps up from street level, and there is no lift to this or any other level. Worth counting before you book.

The bar and the toilets for this level

There is a bar at Grand Circle level and Ladies' and Gentlemen's toilets, so you do not need to come down during the interval.
