Piccadilly Theatre, London

The Piccadilly Theatre is on Denman Street, tucked just behind the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus, and it's the West End home of Moulin Rouge! The Musical. It has 1,232 seats over three levels, the Stalls, the Royal Circle and the Grand Circle, and is in central Soho, so perfect for restaurants and bars just around the corner.

Still choosing seats? For Moulin Rouge the front Stalls are the seats to beat, because the show reaches out into the auditorium and you feel part of it. The Can Can tables at the very front are the most special seats in the building. For value, look for a slightly cheaper seat in the first five or six rows of the Royal Circle, and try not to sit further back than row Q or R in the Stalls, where you lose the top of the stage.

Already booked? Arrive 30 minutes before, earlier than we'd say for most theatres: there's nearly always a queue to get in, and the pre-show starts before the advertised time. The Stalls bar is tiny, so order your interval drinks before the show.

Each level has its own page: the Stalls, the Royal Circle and the Grand Circle, with all three side by side on the seating plan. After those come how to get here, access and the bars, restaurants, bars and hotels nearby and more about the theatre.

What's On at the Piccadilly Theatre

Moulin Rouge! The Musical has played here since 2021. It's a loud, immersive love story built around pop songs you already know, performed in an auditorium dressed end to end as the Parisian club. It runs 2 hours 35 minutes including a 20-minute interval.

Evening performances are Monday to Saturday at 7:30pm, with matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 2:30pm. From Monday 11 January 2027, Monday and Tuesday evenings start at 7pm instead.

There's no closing date, rather a booking-until date that moves forward every Monday, when another week goes on sale. If your date isn't on sale yet, keep checking.

It's a bit racy in parts (no nudity or bad language), so it suits older teens and adults more than younger children. The age rules are in the FAQs below.

Ticket prices

Tickets for Moulin Rouge start from around £25. Most seats cost from around £65 up to around £100, and premium seats start from around £120. The show uses dynamic pricing, so prices move up and down with demand, and weekends are usually a little higher. All-in pricing, the price you see is what you pay. The show page has the prices level by level.
