STORIES: The Tap Dance Sensation Tickets at the Peacock Theatre

RB Dance Company's tap show is back at the Peacock Theatre from 14 to 31 October 2026, after a sold-out first run here in 2024. It's tap, urban jazz and percussion, telling the story of a young film actor and the director he can't escape, in 70 minutes with no interval.

Who's STORIES For?

Anyone who likes their dance loud and fast. The rhythm is the show here, so if the big tap number is your favourite part of a musical, this is a whole evening of it.

It's short, so it works before dinner, or after work without a late finish.

Not for you if you want a gentle family show. The story deals with death, assault and murder, and there's strobe lighting and loud music.

What Tickets Cost

Tickets start from around £20 on Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October in the evening. Most other midweek evenings start from around £30, and the first weekend, 16 to 18 October, costs more. The first Saturday matinee is close to sold out.

All-in pricing, the price you see is what you pay. Call us on 020 7193 9050 and we'll find the best seat for your budget.

What Happens in STORIES?

Icarus is a young actor who's already a hit on screen, but behind the scenes he's under the thumb of his director. After a huge row, he finds he can't get away. Ten dancers tell the story in tap, urban jazz and percussion, to an original score, on a set that turns from a film set into hotels and gambling clubs.

About RB Dance Company

Romain Rachline Borgeaud founded the company in 2018 to bring tap back to big audiences, and he created STORIES: he wrote it, composed the score, and directs and choreographs it. He trained at The Ailey School in New York and has danced on Broadway. The company reached the final of France's Got Talent in 2018 and again in 2024, and in France STORIES won three Trophées de la Comédie Musicale, the French musical theatre awards.

Performance Schedule

Evenings are at 7:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday, from Wednesday 14 October. Matinees are at 2:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays, plus Wednesday 28 October. There's no performance on Mondays or on Sunday evenings. The last performance is Saturday 31 October at 7:30pm.

Best Seats for STORIES

For tap, you want to see the feet, so sit a few rows back in the Stalls rather than in the front row: the stage is often set high, and from rows A to C you lose them. The centre of rows D to M is the pick. The front of the Dress Circle is good too, looking down on the whole stage. More in our Peacock Theatre guide.

Where to Sit

The Stalls, rows D to M in the centre, give you the whole stage and the dancers' feet. The rear Stalls are good value, with stepped rows from P that lift you over the heads in front. Full detail on the Peacock seating plan.
