What It Is
Three best friends reach the end of months of travelling and stop at a remote island lodge for their last night. Something else is there.
As the presence makes itself known, loyalties fracture and buried secrets come out, and the billing makes a point of the ghost not necessarily being the worst thing in the building.
It is listed by the theatre as a play, which makes it the odd one out among the Adelphi's one-night events.
What Tickets Cost
Most tickets sit between £50 and £75, with premium seats at around £95. The cheapest is £33.50 and there are not many of them.
Who It Is For
- People who like a horror piece staged rather than filmed, where the jumps have to work live.
- Anyone who enjoyed the wave of stage-horror that followed The Woman in Black.
- Not for you if you are bringing anyone under about fourteen. The theatre puts it at 14 and over with parental guidance advised, and that is the guidance to follow.
Know Before You Book
Age guidance is 14 and over with parental guidance advised. It runs about two hours, including an interval.
Practical
Adelphi Theatre, 409-412 Strand, WC2R 0NS. Charing Cross is four to five minutes. Arrive twenty to twenty-five minutes before, because one queue on the Strand takes the whole audience.
The Stalls are the only level without stairs, and there is no lift to either Circle.

FAQs
Three friends at a remote island lodge on the last stop of a long trip, and something in the building with them.
It is billed as supernatural horror crossed with psychological thriller, and the theatre advises 14 and over with parental guidance.
The guidance is 14 and over with parental guidance advised, so we would wait until they are fourteen.
About two hours, including an interval.
Yes, one performance at 7pm on Sunday 2 May 2027.
Where to Sit
The Adelphi is a wide theatre with a stage set high, holding around 1,500 across three levels.
The centre of the Stalls, rows C to L, is the pick for almost anything here. Side seats are better value than they look, because the theatre is wide, so from the side you lose the angle rather than the view.
The Dress Circle gives a clean view of the whole stage and sits further back than a Dress Circle usually does. The Upper Circle is the cheapest level and the front block is the best value in the building.
Seating for a one-night event can differ from the resident production, including whether the short front row is in. Check the plan for this date. Where to sit in the Stalls has the detail.
