[NEWS] The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Begins Previews at Gielgud Theatre

After the release of behind-the-scenes photos of the cast at rehearsals, previews for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is now on its way at the Gielgud Theatre starting 24 June 2014.

The National Theatre's multi-awarded winning production is adapted by Simon Stephen from Mark Haddon's novel of the same name. On the surface, it's a simple story about a boy who wants to find out what happened to his neighbour's dog, but underneath it tackles issues surrounding family, death, and being different.

Luke Treadaway took home the Best Actor at the 2013 Olivier Awards for his portrayal of Christopher Boone. Graham Butler takes over the role and will hope to emulate the success.

Rounding up the cast are Vivienne Acheampong (No. 40/Punk Girl), Daniel Casey (Roger Shears), Emily Joyce (Judy), Abram Rooney (Alternate Christopher), Gay Soper (Mrs Alexander), Paul Stocker (Mr Thompson), Nicolas Tennant (Ed), Tony Turner (Reverend Peters), Victoria Willing (Mrs Shears), Sarah Woodward (Siobhan) and Sam Bond, Penelope McGhie, Roxanne Palmer and Mark Rawlings.

Award-winning director Marianne Elliott remains at the helm of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Gielgud Theatre. The production is designed by Bunny Christie, with lighting by Paule Constable, video design by Finn Ross, movement by Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly, music by Adrian Sutton and sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph.
